This was one of the most amazing dawns I have ever witnessed. I had set up my tripod on Bamburgh beach with a group of photographers at the beginning of a 3-day workshop on the Northumberland Coast. The colours in the sky and the reflections in the wet sand were nothing short of stunning, and as the sun rose beside the dramatic outline of Bamburgh Castle I knew I was in for a treat. I framed the image to include the rivulet left by the receding tide and waited for the rising sun to do the rest.
