I took this photograph on my first visit to the little seaside hamlet of Seatown in Dorset. The first thing I saw when I stepped onto the beach was this little upturned boat, almost glowing in the afternoon sun. Now, I seem to have developed a penchant for old boats, and this particular example immediately tickled my fancy with those rusty marks that complemented the colour of the shingle perfectly. I added an 81A warm-up filter to enhance the warm mood of the scene, and made a simple composition of beach, sea and sky.
